YWCA Downs & South West QLD Inc.

The YWCA Downs & South West QLD is a social service and women’s membership organisation.  As a feminist organisation, we are committed to the social, political and economic equality of women.
We work with the members of the community through a wide range of social and community programs. 

The YWCA Downs & South West QLD helps by providing accommodation services, vocational training and employment programs, school based education and women’s leadership programs.

The YWCA Downs & South West QLD is a Registered Training Organisation, dedicated to providing services committed to the empowerment of young people in disadvantaged situations, to become independent and to reach their full potential.  We are committed to the development of young women, and this commitment is reflected in the number of dedicated and professional young women on our staff team and serving as our Board of Management.

The YWCA Downs & South West QLD was established in 1934, and is affiliated with the World YWCA.  Through this affiliation we follow the priorities as set by the World YWCA and Policy issues as set by the National YWCA of Australia.
